Malron’s Account

Baron Dmitri Krezkov, who leads Krezk with his wife Anna. He carries a werewolf’s curse handed down the generations, and Anna gathers wolfsbane to hold it back; we don’t know which of his children, if any, carry it too. The Abbot, in the shape of Dmitri’s aunt, talked their son Ilya out of the wolfsbane potion. Not knowing it was what kept him himself, the boy stopped taking it, turned, killed his little sister that night and ran off into the woods. The Abbot then offered to bring her back in exchange for Anna’s heart⁠33.

When the Abbot sent word he would take Anna’s heart at dusk the next day, Dmitri was waiting for us at the Blue Water Inn in Vallaki, desperate and untouched by the merriment around him, and begged us to save her⁠50⁠51.
