Henrik

Malron’s Account

A man of Vallaki. We first met him delivering materials to repair the Church of Saint Andral18. He was the one who bought the church’s stolen bones from Milivoj. Shabasta, in Father Lucian’s likeness, talked four guards into breaking down his door and arresting him, though he would not say where the bones were. In his shop we found a room of thirteen coffins and, upstairs, a trapped wardrobe and a bag that held the bones, and there Volenta and two vampires fell on us19. Blinsky told us he had lately sold Henrik a noisemaker toy, perhaps the same noisemaker that woke the house on us20.

He and Milivoj were condemned to hang in the town square while Father Lucian argued with the guards23. Rahadin sentenced them both to death, but Shabasta’s plea moved him to leave their fates to chance: Henrik was spared the rope and branded with the symbol of Castle Ravenloft24.
