Continue on Road to Vellaki * Road ends at iron gates with wolves’ heads impaled on them.

Refugee Camp * Ireena is enraged and heartbroken at the sight of the refugee camp. * Schlopkht tries to persuade Ireena to feed the dream pies to the refugees to help them sleep and relax. * Refugees arrived at the gate some days ago but are not allowed to enter. They tried to enter by force, but Izek, a guard, summoned fire to ward the refugees off. The town Baron won’t even come out. Wolves and bats have attacked the camp. Refugees are unwilling to risk heading back home. 25% are addicted to dream pastries. Many are cold to Irena and unwilling to accept her offer of help, blaming her brother and father for their misfortune. They believe a red-haired woman has cursed them. * Ireena becomes enraged by the Baron’s callousness and heads off with Aera.

In Town * Guards mention that a weird man with long ears is in town on a carnival wagon. * Festival of Blazing Sun in three days. * Be careful what you tell old lady Morantha who sells the pies. * Streets are empty except for one cloaked figure walking away from us. * Several ravens on the roof of the inn, which depicts a blue waterfall. * Colorful dressed man with a big hat is inside the inn.
